This piece, Ancestral Line, focuses on a conceptual interpretation of memory through the formal issues of pattern, color, and surface. Saturated layers with fragile nuances of incompleteness, and uneasy and ambiguous in interpretation, I attempt to create a subtle but tangible quality of anxiety. Although the surfaces are in constant flux by the slight changes of light and color, the paintings are visually slow and meditative. This piece is an assemblage of a vision that can be returned to like a memory.

To be allusive while finding form in process, creating a new experience simply through perception, these are my aims.
